It uses a scheme that has widespread popular appeal to carry, or suggest, systemic relationships which are often ignored in official, specialized documents or are too complex to be readily communicated and understood. The purpose is to show that familiar concern with the health challenges of the body can be used to offer insight into equivalent concerns in the environment.
