The map below (click on it for a full scale, zoomable PDF version) is an exercise in identifying a network of over 100 concepts that can be associated with terror and the response to it. Different clusters of these concepts are recognized by different constituencies for different purposes.
The challenge is to provide a framework that holds them all and discourages the degree of denial that frequently is associated with resistance to recognition of some of them. It is not to be assumed that the map is complete or that further improvements could usefully be made to it.
The map was produced as a brainstorming exercise using the software package Decision Explorer -- which also allows such networks to be analyzed and represented as conceptual models in various ways.
In developing the map further, links to web resources may in future be provided from the individual concepts.
