The Geometric Sufi Insight

In Attar's Sufi masterpiece, 30 birds undertake a perilous journey seeking the mythical Simurgh. After crossing seven valleys, the survivors discover the profound truth: سی مرغ (si murgh) means "thirty birds" in Persian—they are the Simurgh they sought. The collective is the unity.

The geometric parallel: The dodecahedron and icosahedron—Platonic duals—share exactly 30 edges. These edges, treated as vectorial "boids," form a network where each edge-bird has neighbors (edges sharing vertices). When they achieve coherent collective behavior, the Simurgh emerges—not as a separate entity but as the integrity of the whole.

Three dynamics are implemented:
• Game of Life: Edges activate/deactivate based on neighbor states (B2/S23 variant)
• Boid Flocking: Edge vectors align with neighbors, creating wave patterns
• Phase Oscillators: Kuramoto-like synchronization toward collective coherence
